Hi! I'm Bri! I am in my eighth year of teaching FIFTH graders.
This is me!
I once thought I wanted to be a kinder teacher! I had taught pre-school aged children and babies at Gymboree Play & Music before going into my teaching credential program. When I did my co-teaching, I was placed in a third grade classroom and then a fifth grade- I was so scared! I ended up quickly falling in love with fifth grade and was lucky enough to land a job teaching fifth! I switched schools after my second year, but I kept my grade! :)
I have an M.Ed in Learning & Technology, but I actually got my B.A. in THEATRE ARTS, which realistically, makes so much sense for a teacher. I mean, we ARE performing much of the time, aren't we? I still perform in the theatre whenever I can and consider it my home away from home.
I'm also an INCREDIBLY proud Auntie! It is an absolute joy to watch my nieces and nephews learn and grow!
I adopted my fur baby, Teddy, in February of 2018. He is the sweetest little pup. Like me, he loves the theatre and even got a cameo in a recent show!
And like so many of you, I love to travel! I most recently took a trip to Finland and I have plans to visit Australia and New Zealand next. If you have a favorite place to travel, let me know about it!
